Joe Shannon currently serves as the Director of Missions for the JST Baptist Association. He is originally from Dover, TN, but for the last three years, he and his family have lived in Dickson, TN. He has been married to his wife Jeanie, for 13 years. They have 5 children, 4 boys and 1 girl.
Joe has been in the ministry for 13 years. he has had the opportunity to plant a church in Dover, Grace Baptist Church, where he also pastored for 8 years. He pastored at Pomona Baptist Church in Dickson for 2 years. He has been in Associational ministry for 13 years. He began on staff as Ministry Assistant to the Director of Missions, then became Associate Director of Missions, and in 2017, Joe began serving as Director of Missions.
He has been on mission trips to Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, and has been engaged in partnerships in Ecuador for 7 years. He loves to see individuals growing in their obedience and fulfilling the Great Commission.
Brother William Gray is the current pastor at Bear Spring Baptist Church in Dover, TN. He is the retired Director of Missions in Judson, Stewart and Truett Baptist Association in Tennessee. He served there for 30 years. Previously, he served as a Pastor for 10 years in Kentucky and Tennessee. He has preached over 400 Revivals and led missions trip in several countries.
He was Born in Logan Co. Kentucky, he is married to Linda (Brown) married for 45 years, also a native of Logan County. They have four children, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
He is a graduate of Mid-Continent Baptist College (served as Trustee several times) and Friendship Graduate School, both in Kentucky. He has also attended Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.
Ashlinn Turnbow currently serves as the Administrative Assistant to the JST Baptist
Association. She is originally from Chattanooga, TN, but married a Dickson County boy almost 10 years ago. She has two children who have truly changed the course of her life.
Before children, Ashlinn taught high school English, but decided to stay home as much as possible to raise her children. She graduated from Union University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Bethel University with a Masters in Instructional Leadership. Her husband Josh currently works as an attorney for the District Attorney's office in the 23rd district.
Her and her family serve along side their brothers and sisters in Christ at Pomona Baptist Church in Dickson, TN.
